IMMUNISATIONS
CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATIONS
We are committed to a policy of full immunisations for all children. Invitations will be sent to the parents of children registered with the practice when they are due for immunisations. It is important that your child is fully immunised against childhood illnesses.
There are weekly baby clinics held at:
Cottam Lane Surgery: Wednesday 9:30-11:30
Geoffery St Health Centre: Thursday 9:30-11:30
The Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner and nurses are available by appointments for first development checks and childhood immunisations.

OTHER VACCINATIONS
SHINGLES VACCINE
We provide Shingle vaccinations to all patients above the age of 70 to 79. Please ring reception to book yourself in.
PNEUMOCOCCAL VACCINE
The pneumococcal vaccine protects against serious and potentially fatal pneumococcal infections. It's also known as the pneumonia vaccine.
Pneumococcal infections are caused by the bacterium Streptococcus pneumoniae and can lead to pneumonia, blood poisoning (sepsis) and meningitis.
At their worst, they can cause permanent brain damage, or even kill.
People aged 65 and over only need a single pneumococcal vaccination. This vaccine is not given annually like the flu jab.
FLU VACCINATION
Flu vaccinations are provided to all eligible patients during the winter period.
The Practice would send out invites via a message or letter with dates and times closer to time.
